Some hands-on impressions and other reports will be released in the weeks leading up to the device's official launch. Valve says that reviews for the Steam Deck will be published starting February 25, the same day it goes on sale. As of now, there are no plans to make the Steam Deck available in retail stores. Preorders are still available, but Valve plans to contact buyers in the order that reservations were made. Prices start at $399 for a Steam Deck with 64GB of internal storage and go up to $649 for a 512GB model with an NVMe solid state drive and anti-glare glass screen.

Valve will send emails for direct purchase to the first batch of people who preordered the device back in July 2021. ET, according to a blog posted on the Steam website.
